SPOTTED is a boutique wedding photography studio based in Shanghai. Founded in 2011 by the award-winning photographer Dave Marco, it forms a balance of Western style of photography and the broad experience in the local market. SPOTTED Studio is focused on creating images that synthesize both photojournalistic attention to story-telling and fine art aesthetics. Since its foundation, SPOTTED Studio has developed an extensive network with some of the most respected industry leaders, and continues to provide tailor-made premium services in local and destination wedding photography markets.
APPROACH
We live in a fast-paced and connected world. To help you share your pictures with family and friends, our packages come with beautifully designed mobile-optimized online galleries and multimedia slideshows.
However, as much as we love new technologies, we believe that great photographs should also live outside the screen. Therefore we work with a few selected vendors who provide us with stunning flush mount albums, archival paper prints, and gorgeous floating wall art. All of it curated by us and made to last for generations.

What’s your style of work?
You could define it as wedding photojournalism. We’re there to tell the story of your wedding day and give our best to capture true emotions and all the memorable moments. Engagement sessions are typically done on location, we can go with spontaneity or we can plan out every detail. In any case – share your vision with us and we will definitely get there.
What are your rates?
Pre-wedding sessions start at 7800 RMB & wedding packages start at 11800 RMB. We offer several options for each so there is something for everyone. Please contact us for full pricing list.
How far in advance should we book?
The earlier, the better. We are often booked several months in advance for weddings, with engagement shoots there’s always more flexibility. In any case, check with us about the availability.
How long before we see our wedding pictures?
It usually takes a month for the photos to be ready. If you need them faster, we can work it out.
Would you travel to be our wedding photographer?
Absolutely. We love travel and we love photography therefore destination wedding photography is the best of both worlds. If you marry on the Moon, we’ll be there!
Can you shoot video for us?
Yes, please let us know if you’re interested in our wedding and pre-wedding film packages. We shoot in cinematic style using multi-camera setup and variety of filmmaking tools including drones! Some sample works can be seen here.
Do you provide makeup and wedding dresses?
Yes, our selected packages include hair styling, makeup, and choice of dresses.
Do you speak Chinese?
Yes, we do!
