Vézelay is such a pretty old town. Located in the heart of Burgundy in France it’s best known for Basilica of St. Mary Magdalene and great Bourgogne wines. Being only a few hour drive from Paris we picked it for one more reason – it’s one of the top hot air balloon take-off sites in the region. So there we are – a few hundred meters above the ground floating in the air towards the sunset. If that wasn’t enough, right after the smooth landing on the field, our fantastic balloon crew whipped out champagne and glasses for a quiet celebration. What a perfect ending of the day.
